How can I order meat for home delivery?

What is included when a live animal is purchased?

The skinning/gutting, cutting and packaging of meat, kidneys, liver and heart. You can ask for additional services for an additional charge: the head to be cut and/or brain removed, skinning and cutting of feet, and cleaning of stomach and/or intestines.

How much meat will I get when I purchase a live animal?

The net weight of meat could vary between 38% and 45% of the whole animal weight. We do our best to pick animals that give the best yield however, we cannot precisely estimate the net yield until the animal is skinned and gutted. Note that larger animals may give a yield better than 45%.

Can I get my meat custom cut and packaged?

Absolutely. Let us know how you prefer. We are here to serve you.

What is the minimum size of order?

Full animal is the minimum size of the order. However, if you pair with another customer, we are happy to split the animal in two halves and package separately.

Will you make small/medium/large pieces, remove fat/clean the meat or package as per my needs?

Let us know how you like it, and we are happy to customize based on your needs.

How do you package?

Fresh meat needs to be kept open until refrigerated or frozen. Unless asked otherwise, we cut meat into medium pieces and bag them in approximately two-pound portions in food-grade plastic bags.

Do big animals have hard or smelly meat?

Tenderness of meat depends on multiple factors including the age, size and breed of the animal. We have slaughtered animals that exceeded 150 lb and still tasted great. Please discuss size with us at the time of ordering. Contrary to many beliefs, not all big animals have hard or smelly meat.

Can I come to the farm and slaughter myself?

You are always welcome to see us at our farm.

Can I bring my own goat or sheep to slaughter and get it processed?
